Maritha Keil
Managing Director/Broker 		Maritha Keil is the founder and Managing Broker of British Virgin Islands Sotheby’s International Realty. Maritha has been a Realtor for over 30 years and has sold more properties than any other agent on Tortola. Arriving from the US in 1982 Maritha has an unparalleled knowledge of both the local real estate market but also the process of buying or selling land and property in the BVI. Maritha has built the business alongside building her home and family and consequently knows most of the original owners, builders and architects throughout the islands. This deep level of insight and experience is combined with a trained eye for interior design that truly sets Maritha apart as the BVI’s premier Broker. With an Interior Design Associates Degree from the Los Angeles Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Maritha is able to make suggestions to help owners sell their property and also assist buyers with future refurbishment or structural alterations. Maritha and her team will always give honest and straightforward advice and will always go the extra mile to meet the needs of the client, characteristics that have built a strong professional and caring reputation. Maritha has strong Christian beliefs and is a great advocate for social work within the community. She was a Girl Guide leader for several years taking her patrol and other BVI patrols overseas to help enrich the girls’ cultural experiences. She also taught swimming for the BVI Government for many years. Maritha is a qualified Scuba diving instructor and married to Randy who owns and operates the dive operation at the exclusive Peter Island Resort. She has two children, Lauren 25 who works as a social worker for victims of abuse, and Austin 15 who loves his sport including softball, soccer and rugby.

Damara Penn
Sales Associate		 Damara is from the BVI and has been working for British Virgin Islands Sotheby’s International Realty since 2000. She has completed courses in Para-legal studies and advanced specialty courses in Real Estate Law and is currently pursuing an Associates Degree in Human Services. Damara works closely with all third parties such as lawyers, surveyors, architects and the BVI Government to ensure that the sale and purchase of land and property is concluded as efficiently as possible. Tasks include applying for subdivisions, helping owners deal with easement issues and helping overseas clients obtain their Trade Licenses, and in order to perform these tasks Damara has to stay up to date with the changing nature of local and international legislation. In her spare time, Damara enjoys spending time with her two children.



Dietmar Lichota
Sales Associate/IT		 Dietmar has been living and working in the BVI for 23 years. After leaving the British Army as a Land Surveyor he travelled the world, first as a surveyor, then as a Scuba diving instructor, and eventually arrived in the British Virgin Islands. After a lot of sailing experience he became a certified RYA Yacht Master and worked as a charter boat captain for a number of years. Leaving the sea behind him, but never very far away, Dietmar eased into real estate in 1996 and over the last 14 years has built up a deep knowledge of the real estate market. He is responsible for implementing the marketing plans of all listed properties and showing them off to prospective purchasers. Dietmar knows many of the original builders, owners and architects throughout the islands and is therefore able to bring rich knowledge and insight to clients wanting to purchase or sell property in the BVI. In his spare time Dietmar loves to work with wood and spend time with his wife and son usually close to the ocean.
